I have put my hand up as candidate for Mayo because having lived and worked across many of the diverse communities that make up our local area, I believe I can be a true advocate for our region.
Having worked across many different industries over the years – from being a construction labourer, to working in the financial industry I understand the meaning of hard work and I know the commitment it takes to grow a small business. ¬
I grew up as the son of first-generation Croatian immigrants, I understand what it’s like when times are tough and as I travel across Mayo, meeting the wonderful people who live here, I’m hearing many stories of hardship. People are hurting and the cost of living crisis our country is enduring thanks to Labor must be addressed.
My commitment to the people of the Hills and Fleurieu communities is to deliver more for them – they have been neglected for too long by the Albanese Government.
There has been a severe lack of investment in the region in recent years.
But I am committing to work within a future Coalition Government to ensure that the appropriate support and assistance reaches Mayo.
This includes improving infrastructure across Mayo – particularly our regional road network – improving services, including access to GPs and easing the cost of living burden on households, small businesses and farmers.
The residents of Mayo will benefit from an elected Dutton Coalition Government which will provide $840 million to build the Greater Adelaide Freight Bypass and divert interstate freight around the Adelaide Hills.
Our energy policy, with a balanced energy mix, aims to provide real and immediate bill relief. Our 25c a litre reduction in the cost of petrol and diesel, will provide immediate relief for families at the pump and reduce costs for business, which will help drive down the costs of goods and services.
We will invest $9.4 billion into primary health care and mental health to address Labor’s primary care crisis, to ensure all Australians can access the help they need, when they need it.
Only a Coalition Government can appropriately address the above issues and only someone that forms part of that Government can truly deliver for Mayo.
