I’m an experienced IT Consultant, married father of 8 children, and have lived in Coromandel Valley for over a decade. I was born in Tas, grew up in Canberra, moved over to Adelaide to avoid the cold winters, and because it’s better in almost every way.
Like many Mayo residents, I’ve watched political stuff-ups get progressively worse, to the point where our children can’t even afford to move out, even if they are able to find a decent paying job. We now live in an age where Repressed Freedoms, Stagnating Wages, Excessive Taxes, and Unaffordable Costs-of-living are our ‘New Normal’.
Trumpet of Patriots will implement commonsense policies to fix the Cost-of-Living Crisis by making housing, electricity, fuel and other essentials more affordable by removing harmful regulations and production-prohibitive taxes. By improving the economy through bringing back manufacturing, cheaper energy production and fuel, and shifting the taxation burden from Australians to multinational corporations, our farmers and business owners will be able to get on with the job of doing what they love, without big government getting in their way.
In Mayo we urgently need to reduce the costs of running both households and businesses. The cost-of-living crisis means farmers, businesses and households are doing it tough, and many can’t just up and move or go online. Electricity costs, housing costs, pointless bureaucratic red tape, excessive taxes and harmful regulations are all key needs to be addressed first, because if our farmers can’t grow food this year, we’ll have nothing to eat next year.
If elected, I would primarily seek to reduce the cost of living for households and improve the productivity of our local businesses and farms. This would include:
-Supporting a ‘DOGE’ like audit and repeal all wasteful Government spending, regulations, taxes and bureaucracy.
-Allocation of affordable housing and business development around our rural city centres.
-Proposals to improve transport infrastructure in the region, including dual-lane carriageways and high-speed rail.
-Promote local manufacturing and processing for more productive jobs within Mayo.
-Remove harmful Sharkie/Teals/Greens/Labor ‘Net Zero’ policies that add significant costs to electricity, building or production, with no environmental benefit.

Let’s Make Mayo Great Again, by sending me back to Canberra to fight for you (even though the winters suck).
