One of our several local groups working to build the community response to the climate crisis is The Wild South. They like to gather together with other interested local people to see a good film, this time it’s ‘The Magnitude of All Things’. The usual chai, soup and snacks will make this a warm Sunday evening at The Sharing Shed in Aldinga Arts Eco Village.
This is chance to see the film which was shown in Adelaide earlier this year and many spoke very highly of it. It charts the journey of director Jennifer Abbott as she explores the parallels between the experiences of personal and planetary grief, with stories from the frontlines of climate change. She is a Sundance Film Festival award-winner. All proceeds from the film screening will go to support SEED Mob in building a movement of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people for climate justice.
All Wild South events are designed to support the Active Hope needed in these times. So the evening will include time to interact and process with some active hope exercises. Bookings for the film night on Sunday August 4th at 5pm are here. Tickets start at $15, with an earlybird price available until 1st August or $25 at the door.
