The historic village of Aldinga, surrounding the intersection of Port Road and Old Coach Road, has attracted a fascinating collection of creative small businesses, retail outlets and cafes, etc, and in the process has created a unique shopping, dining and entertainment precinct, incorporating a number of historic sites.
The ongoing road improvements and enhanced streetscape, the major expansion of the Port Road sporting complex and the establishment of the Payinthi Super School will add further to the precinct’s appeal, as will the revamped Aldinga Hotel and other, new entertainment venues such as Kickback Brewery and Keg & Barrell, etc.
Aldinga Village Voice is being published to capitalise on these strengths of Aldinga Village, to create greater awareness of the precinct, and to build a sense of community and shared vision among business owners, workers, visitors and local residents alike.

Aldinga Village Voice is a local, community newspaper covering the historic village of Aldinga and its surrounds.
Aldinga Village Voice covers local and community news, local businesses, the arts, wining and dining, environmental issues, local personalities and much, much more.
Aldinga Village Voice will begin as an on-line publication at www.aldingavillage.voice.com.au, with the intention of publishing print editions in future.
Aldinga Village Voice includes a Trades and Services Directory and a What’s On listing of local events.
Aldinga Village Voice is published by Kerrod Trott, who also publishes an independent, community newspaper, The Westender, in West End, Brisbane at www.westender.com.au The Westender will celebrate 30 years of publication in 2022.
Kerrod was also active in the West End Traders Association, serving as President as well as Marketing and Membership Officer, where one of the major activities was promoting West End as a shopping and dining destination.
Kerrod was instrumental in re-launching Coastal Views as an online publication for the Aldinga Bay Residents Association upon the retirement of long-time editor Kevin Hutton, and is excited at the prospect of developing another community newspaper in his new home of Aldinga.
